Fresh Tomato Pasta Sauce

1/4 cup Di Oliva Garlic Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 onion, chopped
4 pounds fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt


Heat Di Oliva Garlic infused olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook down until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, sugar, basil, oregano and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens. About 1 to 2 hours. Serve over your favourite pasta and add grated parmesan cheese as desired.
